In the news: sugar substitutes made rats fat
According to this article on CNN’s health section, rats who ate articifical sweeteners ate more calories and gained more weight than rats who ate the real sugar. This study was used in the implication that humans who ate artificial sweetners are more likely to get fat as well because we aren’t getting the sugar we are craving.
