Country star Kenny Chesney once sang about his want for "the sun and the sand and a drink in my hand." If he looked hard enough he would have found the Golden Lion Cafe in Flagler Beach.
Situated just feet from the rolling tides of the Atlantic Ocean, the Golden Lion has come to represent everything that's wonderful about the island lifestyle: great food, great drinks, great conversation and, of course, the beach. Mark Woods, bar manager at the Lion, has been working at the local hangout since June of 2005. "The main thing about the Lion is our location," says Woods who also goes by the fitting moniker, "TikiTender." "It's a great casual spot to relax with friends and enjoy the sights and sounds of Flagler Beach."
OK, but aside from the Jimmy Buffett-approved locale, what else is going on at the Lion?
